Dr. Firdaus Fatima Rizvi has pursued her Doctorate in Economics from Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad. Her doctoral thesis was on 'Micro Level Planning for Sustainable Water Resource Management: Case Study of Phulpur Tehsil in Allahabad District'. Apart from her Masters and Ph.D in Economics, she also has M.Sc. (Environment and Ecology) and LL.B to her credit. Earlier, she had eight years of experience as a researcher. She was associated with Council for Social Development, New Delhi for two years and with Indian Institute of Dalit Studies, New Delhi for six years. Her areas of interest include natural resource management, social exclusion and inclusive policies, minority issues, labour market, etc.
She has completed several research studies on Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes and Minority issues, labour market, housing, affirmative action in private sector, etc. She has also contributed several papers in national and international seminars and delivered lectures. She has number of publications to her credit in journals and edited books.
