Prestigious project to Dr. Pradhan Parth Sarthi, Centre for Environmental Sciences
A joint research project entitled “Smart Weather: Location based Deep weather event prediction using spatial big data computing”, Department of Computer Science (Dr. Rajiv Mishra), IIT Patna and Centre for Environmental Sciences (Dr. Pradhan Parth Sarthi), CUSB has been approved under IMPRINT initiative of MHRD, Government of India.
IMPRINT is the first of its kind MHRD supported Pan-IIT + IISc joint initiative to address the major science and engineering challenges that India must address and champion to enable, empower and embolden the nation for inclusive growth and self-reliance. This novel initiative with twofold mandate is aimed at:
- Developing new engineering education policy
- Creating a road map to pursue engineering challenges
IMPRINT provides the overarching vision that guides research into areas that are predominantly socially relevant.
Under IMPRINT, Out of 2619, only 259 proposals were approved for financial support by the Apex Committee of IMPRINT in its meeting held on 28 September 2016. This approved project may be found on the following link
