Biotech, Life Science students of CUSB crack CSIR – JRF / NET (December 2017)

Many students of the Centre for Biological Sciences (CBS) of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) cracked the JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) / National Eligibility Test (NET) – Lectureship (LS) conducted in December 2017. The results were declared a couple of days by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Providing details Dr. Rizwanul Haque, Head, CBS said that a total of five students have cracked the prestigious exam from the Centre which includes three from Ph.D. Biotechnology and two from Ph.D Life Science. Nadra Sadaf, Neeraj Kumar Rai and Archana, pursuing Ph.D. in Biotechnology have bagged the JRF with All India Ranking (AIR) of 81, 116 and 139 respectively. In addition, two students from Life Science programme have also succeeded in qualifying the examination. Pratika Singh (Ph.D Life Science) has cleared NET (LS) with AIR 46, while Komal Kanak (M.Sc. Life Science) has got JRF with AIR 67, added Dr. Haque. 

Dr. Lokendra Sharma, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology said that CSIR is one of the most prestigious examination for research and lectureship aspirants.  Fellowship will be offered to all the successful candidates by CSIR or UGC, said Dr. Sharma. The faculty members of CBS expressed happiness over the success of students of Biological Sciences department and wished them for a bright career ahead in research. The successful candidates have expressed their gratitude to Dr. Rizwanul Haque (Head – CBS), course co-ordinators Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Biotechnology) and Dr. Gautam Kumar (Life Science), and other and faculty members.
