CUSB Biotech Student Archana gets Young Scientist Award at IISF 2019 in Kolkata
Archana, a research scholar at Dept. of Biotechnology of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) got the Young Scientist Award at India International Science Festival (IISF) in Kolkata on Thursday, November 7, 2019. She got the first prize under Government of India’s scheme – Swasth Bharat Abhiyan. She was given the certificate, memento and cash prize of Rs. 5000/- was Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST. IISF 2019 was held at Biswa Bangla Conventionl Centre at Kolkata during November 5-8, 2019.
CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.C.S. Rathore congratulated Archana for her achievement and making the University proud. A delighted Archana thanked her supervisor and department faculty members for their guidance. I am feeling very glad for getting the opportunity to represent my University at an international level platform and winning the top prize, said Archana.
Archana is pursuing her Ph.D under Prof. Rizwanul Haque, Head, Dept. of Biotechnology. Prof. Haque congratulated Archana for winning the Young Scientist Award along with faculty members of the department Prof. Durg Vijai Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Nitish Kumar, Dr. Jawaid Ahsan, Dr. Antresh Kumar and Dr. Krishna Prakash.
