CUSB Economics students win RBI Policy Challenge – 2020
#CUSB has won the competition three-time in a row, it’s a hat-trick for the University
This is the third time in a row that the team from Department of Economics of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has won the Regional Round of ‘The RBI Policy Challenge – 2020’ and brought laurels for the state of Bihar. CUSB has scored a hat-trick in the regional round of RBI Challenge by winning the competitions consecutively in the year 2018, 2019 & 2020. A winning team comprised of MA Economics students namely Anuradha, Atul Kumar, Sheo Rama and Athar Imam Raza. They have participated in the national level Essay writing competition conducted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under mentorship of Economics Assistant Professor Mr. Atish Kumar Dash. CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harish Chandra Singh Rathore has congratulated the winning team and the mentor teachers from the department for the achievement.
Providing details Mr. Dash said that for the Regional Round the team wrote an essay on the topic “Non-Banking Finance in India: Regulatory Challenges and Concerns”. Further the team will participate in the Zonal Round Competition in Kolkata on 14th February 2020. Winner of Zonal Round will participate at Mumbai in the National Round. Regional and Zonal Round Winners will be awarded cash prizes. The winning team in the National Round shall be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1.00 lakh and the opportunity to intern with RBI for a period up to 3 months, mentioned Mr. Dash.
Head of the Department of Economic Studies and Policy Prof. Sankar Kumar Bhaumik, the faculty members of the department- Dr. R K Kumbhar, Dr. Abodh Kumar, Dr. Rikil Chyrmang and Dr. Sanjay Kumar congratulated the team and wished the best for the Zonal round competition.
