Beyond Horizon - A motivational talk by Mr. Rajesh Kumar DIG (Central) Patna
If you wish to be successful in life, the Mantra of success lies on timely decisions and hardwork, said Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Patna during the one day colloquium at Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The Centre for Mass Communication and Media of the University organised the colloquium titled “Beyond Horizon” for giving motivation to the students at the seminar hall of media department. Mr. Rajesh Kumar, DIG, Patna who is also a motivational Speaker attended the colloquium as chief guest as well as resource person.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kumar broadly highlighted the nuances of a successful like which included the topics like good health and healthy life, habits, time management, stress management, setting the goal in life, the hardwork to be done for achieving the goals. DIG Patna said that the concept of ‘early to bed, early to rise’ is quite meaningful and suitable for leading a healthy life in today’s chaotic environs around the city, nation and world. If you wake up early in the morning at around 5 AM and give one hour daily to your body by working out in various means such as jogging, exercise, yoga, meditation, visit to gym, etc. you will feel a remarkable change and freshness in body and mind. In short, you will become healthy and get rid of many types of diseases. Further, we should do our work be it study or jobs with utmost sincerity, and also set up various goals and given our best to achieve the same. By following these practical aspects in our routine life, we can lead a successful life and achieve the goals as per our desire. Only thing is time-management and developing the zeal and enthusiasm within ourselves to achieve the same, mentioned Mr. Rajesh Kumar during his 45 minutes long talk. The talk was followed by question and answer session actively participated by the gathering of students, faculty and staff present at the venue.
Earlier on Tuesday morning Mr. Rajesh Kumar was welcomed by Dr. Atish Prashar, Head, Centre for Mass Communication and Media with bouquet. Further in his welcome speech Dr. Prashar shared the contributions of Mr. Kumar as DIG of Patna. He said that Mr. Rajesh Kumar is a known motivational speaker as well as very efficient administrator who have redefined the policing of the state. Some of his initiatives like “Madadgar Police” have received huge applause from every nook and corner.
It would be great experience for the students to listen to an efficient speaker and police officer who works as a bridge between common people and government and ensures law and order in the society. Mr. Rajesh Kumar, a 2003 batch IPS officer has served various districts of Bihar before joining as DIG Patna, central range, mentioned Dr. Prashar.
Along with students and faculty members from different departments of the University, the talk was attended by media department Head Dr. Atish Prashar and other faculty members namely Dr. Sujeet Kumar, Dr. Kinshuk Pathak, Dr. Anindya Deb, Dr. Ravi Suryavanshi and PRO Md. Mudassir Alam.
The talk concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Ram Kumar, Head, Centre for Environmental Sciences, who thanked the chief guest for taking out time from his busy schedule to give the talk.
