Venktesh Singh is a Professor in the Department of Physics, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). He has a vast experience of teaching and research spanning over 20 years. Prior to joining this University, he served the Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi as Assistant and Associate Professor of Physics since 2005. Before joining Banaras Hindu University he was in the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan as Postdoctoral Fellow and in the Physics Department, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), Opton, NY (USA) as visiting research fellow. He was the Guest Scientist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL), Batavia, Chicago (USA) for short period. He is an awardees of JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow (Osaka, Japan) and International Fellows of FNAL, Chicago (USA). He has attended various experimental schools in Portugal, Poland, Russia, and Taiwan. His fields of specialization are Experimental High Energy Heavy-ion, Nuclear and astroparticle Physics, and Detector development. He is life member of India Physics Associate and member of Physical Research China (Taiwan). He has so far completed Seven (07) major research projects of DST, CSIR, New Delhi, and BRNS, Mumbai. Currently Three (03) mega science projects of DST, New Delhi and SPARC, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi are running. His good numbers of research papers i.e. around 300 are published in national and international journals of high repute such as Nature, Physical Review Letter, Physical Review D, Physical Review C, etc. He has successfully supervised 09 PhD theses and ~30 Master dissertations. He is actively collaborating in NOvA, DUNE, GEMMA DARK (USA), TEXONO (Taiwan), LEGEND (Germany), and CDEX (China).
