Budhendra Kumar Singh is Associate Professor in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences of the Central University of South Bihar. He has more than 9 years of teaching and/or research experience. He obtained his Ph.D in Physics from Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi in December, 2010. In November 2010, he was awarded with Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship (Ref No. F.4-2/2006(BSR)13-363/2010(BSR)), subsequently, he joined Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University as post doctoral fellow. In January 2011, he was appointed as Lecturer in Amity Institute for Advanced Research & Studies (M&D), Amity University, Noida, where he was involved in teaching and training of M.Tech and B.Tech students. In 2012, he joined TEMA, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro, Portugal as grantee of a postdoctoral grant (SFRH/BPD/76184/2011) from the Foundation of Science and Technology (FCT), Government of Portugal. During his stay in Portugal, he was dedicated to explore nanoscale phenomena by investigating domain structures, switching processes in organic/inorganic crystals, ceramics, films, fibers and composites . He has to his credit more than 55 research articles published in refereed SCI journals/edited books.

- Synthesis and Crystal growth of relaxor ferroelectric materials for opto-electronics.
- Electroceramics for biomedical, consumer electronics, and defence application.
- Processing and characterization of nano-materials
- Dielectric, Electrical and electronic properties of bulk materials (A theoretical and experimental correlation)
