Miss Kumari Nitu has graduated in Political Science (2010). She has pursued LL.B. and LL.M. from Patna University. She did her M.Phil. from Centre from International Legal Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She submitted her Ph.D. in November 2019 (Jawaharlal Nehru University). She has qualified Net. She was also awarded UGC Research Fellow and the prestigious DAAD fellowship. She has been selected as the Right Livelihood Junior Scientist by the University of Bonn, Germany.

Before joining Central University of South Bihar, Miss Nitu was associated with CMR School of Legal Studies, Bengaluru as an Assistant Professor and Jawaharlal Nehru University as a Teaching Assistant. She has several papers to her credit in Journals of national and international importance. Her areas of interest include International law, Human Rights law and Sustainable Development. She is also the member of various academic and professional bodies.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad remembered at CUSB

The entire Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) fraternity remembered the first education minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on his birth anniversary on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. On the occasion of National Education Day the department of Education of the University orgranised various online activities participated by students, faculty members and officials including DSW Prof. Atish Prashar, Proctor Prof. Kaushal Kishore. On this occasion an Essay Writing & Poetry Competition on the topic “Learners’ World and Education: Possibilities and Concerns in Contemporary Time” was organised by the department. The participating students of the University presented their creativity and thoughts in light of Maulana Azad through their essays and poetries.

After the formal inauguration the programme started with the welcome address of Dr. Sandeep Kumar about the National Education Day. First of all he mentioned about the Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.C.S. Rathore for his mentorship for the said programme and making it possible through online medium. DSW Prof. Atish Prashar in his speech specifically mentioned about the contributions of Maulana Azad as the freedom fighter and first education minister of India. Due to far-sighted vision of Maulana Azad, India could establish the reputed higher educational institutions and the educational framework of the country could be drawn. I pay homage to Maulana Azad for his contributions to the country especially in the area of Education.


Further the students presented their poetries before the online audience and participants. The winners from essay writing competition namely Megha Tejaswi, Navneet Tripathy and Jayant Jyoti presented their essays. In the poetry recitation Kritika Singh, Risabh and Manish were declared winners. The winners and participants of the competitions highlighted the issue of child education in their creativity.  The jury of the competitions were Dr. Kavita Singh, Dr. Anuj Lugu, Dr. Saroj Kumar and Dr. Swati Gupta. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks of Dr. Samresh Bharaty who thanked all participants and especially expressed his gratitude to Dr. Chandan Shrivastava for technical support.
