CUSB Life Science students crack GATE 2020, get internship with INSA
Five (05) students from Life Science Department of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have cracked the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2020. With a good All India Ranking (AIR) in the test they made their place within top 500 ranks. Providing details Head of the Department, Dr. Gautam Kumar said that M. Sc life science students namely, Taskeen Fatema (AIR-104), Ranjana Kumari (AIR – 117), Shrushtidhar Dhamudia (AIR-280), Sameer Kumar (AIR-361) and Ravi Ranjan Kumar (AIR-953) have qualified for GATE - 2020.
The GATE score has wide acceptance across the country and even abroad. Qualified students can apply PSU’s, Research Institutes for PhD, and BARC. Department head Dr. Gautam Kumar and all the faculty members of life science department have congratulated the students over their success and wished them for bright career ahead. Qualified students credited their success to the professors of their department and thanked them for efficient guidance."
Internship with INSA - The Indian National Science Academy
On the basis of write-ups submitted to INSA - The Indian National Science Academy, two students of the department Megha Sharma and Divya Prakash got selected for Summer internship.
Megha Sharma wrote the write-up Amylotropic lateral sclerosis (ALS )- An autoimmune motor Neurodegenerative disease in human, and got selected at I.L.B.S. Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi. She has got an opportunity to work and research under the guidance of Dr. M.G. Sanal during summer internship. She has been provided all the facilities through INSA and has been provided with a scholarship for completing summer internship.
While Divya Prakash wrote the write-up on Neuromyletis optica - an autoimmune disease in humans , and got selected at A.L.M. PG Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu under the guidance of Prof. AK Muniranjan.
