CUSB Law Team 2nd runner up in National Moot Court Competition
Continuing their excellent performance in the national level Mootcourt competitions, the students of School of Law and Governance of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have again made it to the top three in a competition. The students of Dept. of Law of the University remained the second runner-up in the 1st NJ Yasaswy Virtual National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, 2021 has been organised by ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Dehradun during September 03-05,2021. CUSB Law students team consisting of Rashmi Sinha, Sudhanshu Sachan and Shashank Shekhar were given the cash prize money as well as other prizes.
CUSB VC Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh and Registrar Col Rajiv Kumar Singh congratulated the students for the achievement and also appreciated the faculty members of the department for their persistent guidance. Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava, Dr. Pradip Das, Mrs. Poonam Kumari, Dr. Digvijay Singh, Dr. Deo Narayan Singh, Dr. Pallavi Singh, Dr. Anant Prakash Narayan, Mr. Mani Pratap, & Dr. Kumari Nitu also congratulated the Students.
Giving detailed information regarding the competition, Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, said that the winning team has been given an amount of Rs. 5000 as cash prize along with certificates. All the Students of the School are doing well in the Moot Court Competitions one after another competition that’s very encouraging for us. Mr. Mani Pratap, Assistant Professor further informed that the team has been additionally given 3 months Manupatra subscription, Environment Courses on LawSkills along with an internship opportunity in the Chambers of Dy. Advocate General Manoj Gorkela (Advocate Supreme Court). Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava, mentioned that very soon there will be an Intra-Competition of Moot Court in the University to motivate the students to participate in further moot court competitions.
All the three students attributed their success to Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra and Prof. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Faculty Coordinator, Moot Court Society, who have consistently guided and supported him.
