Law Students Aditi, Ashish and Kishan won the national moot court competition


#Cash prize of Rs 3,45,000/ (three lakh forty five thousand) was given along with the trophy to the winning team


 A team of students of School of Law and Governance of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have once again won the National Level Moot Court Competition by giving their excellent performance. The team of Aditi Tomar, Ashish Ranjan and Kishan Kumar, all students of Law Department, have won the National Virtual Moot Court Competition 2022 organized by Army Law College (ALC), Pune. Aditi Tomar and Ashish Ranjan participated in the competition as speakers, while Kishan Kumar, represented the university as a researcher to win the title. A total cash amount of Rs 3,45,000/- along with the trophy and certificates were given to the winning team of CUSB.  

CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh and Registrar Col. Rajeev Kumar Singh have congratulated the winning team and their teachers for their guidance. Head and Dean of School of Law and Governance Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Moot Court Society coordinator Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava along with other faculty members of the department namely Dr. Pradeep Kumar Das, Mrs. Poonam Kumari, Dr. Digvijay Singh, Dr. Dev Narayan Singh, Dr. Anant Narayan, Dr. Pallavi Singh, Mr. Mani Pratap and Dr. Kumari Neetu also congratulated the students and appreciated the hard work of the students.  

Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra said that 40 teams from different institutions from all over India, including students of National Law University participated in this competition. Team CUSB successfully went through the various stages of Pre and Quarter Semi-Finals and finally won the Finals Prof.Sanjay Prakash Srivastava, Coordinator of Moot Court Society of CUSB said that the team has won the Moot Court Competition as well as the Best Memorial Drafting award.

It is worth mentioning that the coordinator of Moot Court Society, Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava, along with the assistant professors and other members of the committee, Mr. Mani Pratap, Dr. Deo Narayan Singh, Dr. Kumari Neetu are working continuously to enhance the mooting skills of the students. In addition, the professors are constantly working to teach other research aspects of the students and inter-competition among the students, best possible team preparation, best possible reasoning etc. The team expressed its gratitude to all the faculty members of the School of Law and Governance.
