CUSB VC Prof. H.C.S. Rathore inaugurates Milkha Singh Sports Complex on July 09, 2021
Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), one of the premier educational institutions of the country, is constantly setting new benchmarks in the field of higher education particularly in Bihar and in the North-East region of the country. In the university, students are encouraged to participate in sports activities along with studies. Although the University started its academic activities from its permanent campus since the 2018 session, but the sports complex was under construction and the students had to play in the temporary grounds. But after the inauguration of the newly constructed Milkha Singh Sports Complex on Friday (July 09, 2021), another milestone was added to CUSB’s Success.
Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Harish Chandra Singh Rathore inaugurated the first permanent sports complex of the University named as Milkha Singh Sports Complex. On this occasion he was accompanied by Registrar Col Rajiv Kumar Singh, Proctor and Head of Environmental Science Department Professor Umesh Kumar Singh, DSW Professor Atish Parashar, Assistant Director Physical Education Dr. Jitendra Pratap Singh and faculty members of Dept. of Physical Education as well as University professors, officers and employees were present.
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor expressed happiness while inaugurating the sports complex and expressed the hope that this complex will produce players who may create history in the national and global levels. He said that the sports complex is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and here students will be given training in all kinds of sports under the supervision of experts. Registrar Colonel Singh said that Milkha Singh Sports Complex has been constructed to develop sportsmanship spirit among students. Here students will get facilities as per international sports standard such as Basket ball court, Volley ball court, Hockey ground, 400 meter track for running, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi badminton court etc. Apart from this, separate gyms for boys and girls have been set up in the hostels of the university and a yoga hall has been made for yoga.
