NEP Webinar Series: Skill, Entrepreneurship Development and Employability: Challenges and Opportunities


Based on the guidelines received from UGC (University Grants Commission), on the completion of one year of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is conducting the online webinar series. As part of the webinar series,  the Department of Commerce and Business Studies of the University organised a webinar on the topic Skill, Entrepreneurship Development and Employability: Challenges and Opportunities. The webinar was joined by Deans, Heads, faculty members, students, researchers and the participants from across the country.



Eminent Speaker Prof. Ranjit Singh, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad delivered the keynote address on the topic. He started his talk with the conceptual background of entrepreneurship and moved towards the different entrepreneurial model and discussed how idea generation is the root cause for any entrepreneurial venture. He talked about the creative destruction i.e., until old is destroyed new cannot be created. The speaker highlighted nudging which means incentivizing the entrepreneurship, exposure theory, compulsion and setting up of incubators for facilitating entrepreneurial potentials.


Earlier Programme Coordinator Ms. Renu, Asst. Prof., Commerce started the session with the introduction of the webinar theme to the participants. Prof. Brajesh Kumar, Head and Dean of Department of Commerce & Business Studies, welcomed Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CUSB, Prof. K.N. Singh and expressed his gratitude to the main speaker for joining the session.


The event ended with the very brainstorming session of question-answer and the speaker left the audience with a quest to ponder over. The webinar came to end with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Subramanian Shanmugam, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce and Business Studies.
