CUSB remembers Shaheed Bhagat Singh on 109th Birth Anniversary

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) remembered the legendary patriot Bhagat Singh on the occasion of his 109th birth anniversary at its Patna and Gaya campuses on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. University’s student’s circle “Renaissance” organised a special function at Patna for paying homage to Bhagat Singh. The Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Om Prakash Rai paid floral tribute to the photograph of Bhagat Singh along with students, faculty, officers and staff. In his address Pro Vice-Chancellor threw light on the life history of Bhagat Singh and his sacrifice for the country.

Mr. Gaurav Kumar Ranjan, a student of Media department and also Co-ordinator Renaissance welcomed the guests present at the venue. Further, media department student Zeeshan Yasir read the last letter written by Bhagat Singh before he was hanged to death by the British government. Also, the Manoj Kumar starrer movie ‘Shaheed’ based on the life of Bhagat Singh was screened, which provided a better picture about his contribution for the country and other unknown aspects. With the thought-provoking discussion on Bhagat Singh the programme came to an end in Patna.

Likewise in Gaya the birth anniversary was celebrated and a Panel discussion on Bhagat Singh was organised under the supervision of Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW) Dr. Sanat Kumar Sharma. The discussion was participated by faculty members, students and staff.
