Prof. Rizwanul Haque

Dr. Haque is currently working on dissecting the role of Telomere and Telomerase modulation by using novel and natural compounds as well as generation of designer T cells to modulate liver and lung cancer. Dr. Haque has made significant scientific contributions, evident from his 61 publications and 10 book chapters in a variety of top-class scientific journals and his research has been cited for more than 4100 times by other research groups worldwide, with an h-index of 25 and i10- index of 37. He is serving as the Principal Investigator/Co-PI in SERB, ICMR, CCRUM, DST-FIST, Bihar S&T, corporate funded research projects and as well as Co-PI in 5 research projects in the USA. He has delivered more than 30 invited lectures and 40 selected lectures in national and international conferences all over the world. Dr. Haque has produced 3 Ph.D. and currently 6 Ph.D. students are enrolled under his supervision.
Prof. Durg Vijai Singh

Specialization : Antibiotic resistance, biofilm, microbial diversity and bacterial pathogenesis
Qualification : M.Sc., Ph.D. (Banaras Hindu University)
Experience : Teaching (5 years 3-months)/ Research (35 years).
Prof. Durg Vijai Singh has published more than 78 original research papers in SCI/Scopus indexed /peer-reviewed journals. His h-index is 26 and i-10 is 56. He has delivered many talks in National and International conferences. Dr. Singh has been Principal Investigators of several extramural projects funded by DST, SERB, ICMR and DBT. He has successfully guided 14 students leading to PhD degree and two students are currently working under his supervision for the award of PhD degree in Biotechnology.
Prof. Rakesh Kumar
Professor and Head
Specialization: Biopolymer, Bioplastics and Biocomposites, Bioprocess Engineering
Qualification : Ph.D (IIT Delhi), PDF (Wuhan University, China)
Experience : Teaching (13 years)/ Research (19 years).
Prof. Rakesh Kumar has published more than 80 original research papers in peer-reviewed journals. His h-index is 22 and i-10 index is 37 with overall citations of around 2030. Dr Kumar has edited 4 books and published more than 25 book chapters. He has delivered several talks at National and International conferences. He had been Principal Investigator in UGC funded projects and presently he is Co-Principal Investigator in DST funded projects. Three students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees under his supervision and presently he is supervising three Ph.D students.
Dr. Nitish Kumar
Associate Professor
Specialization: Plant and Microbial Biotechnology
Qualification : Ph.D. (CSIR-Central Salt &Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar)
Experience : Teaching and Research (10 years)/ Research (10 years)
Dr. Nitish Kumar has published more than 50 articles in leading international and national journals, more than 50 books/book chapters with Springer and Taylor & Francis. He has a wide area of research experience in the field of Plant Tissue Culture, Genetic Transformation of Plants, Metabolic Engineering, Molecular Marker development, Mutation Breeding and Microbial Biotechnology. His h-index is 24 and i-10 index is 41. He has received many awards/fellowships/projects from various organizations, for example, the CSIR, DBT, ICAR and SERB-DST, BRNS-BARC, among others. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Gene (Elsevier) since 2018.
Dr. Krishna Prakash
Associate Professor
Specialization: Molecular Biology
Qualification : Ph. D. (JNU, New Delhi)
Experience : Teaching and Research (11 years)/ Research (13 years).
Dr. Krishna Prakash is as an Associate Professor at Department of Biotechnology, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. Dr. Prakash has authored two international books and one national book. Besides these publications, he authored and published around one and half-dozen research articles in the international journal of reputes. His h-index is 8 and i-10 index is 8. Under his supervision, one M.Phil. and one Ph.D. had been awarded. Currently, he is supervising two Ph.D. students.
Dr. Jawaid Ahsan

Dr. Jawaid Ahsan and his research group are interested in studying the olfactory behavior, learning and memory, and also the effect of few heavy metals and herbicide using Drosophila (fruit fly) model. They are trying to understand the underlying mechanism using different tools and techniques in behavior, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, imaging etc. Dr. Jawaid has published more than 19 research papers in high quality reputed peer-reviewed international and national journals. He has published 6 book chapters on relevant topics. His h-index is 6 and i-10 index is 1. He has delivered several talks in different International and National Conferences. He has been awarded travel grants from DBT and CSIR. He had been the Principal Investigator in UGC-funded research project. Two students have been awarded Ph.D. Degrees under his supervision and presently he is supervising two Ph.D. students.
Dr. Pratishtha Sonker

Specialization: Chronobiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology
Qualification : Ph.D. (Banaras Hindu University)
Experience : Teaching (1 years)/ Research (6 years).
Dr. Pratishtha Sonker has completed her PhD and postdoctoral study from Banaras Hindu University. She has published 6 research articles in the peer-reviewed journal of international repute along with 7 book chapters in national and international publishers, including Springer Nature and Elsevier. As per google scholar, her h-index and i10-index are 6 and 3, respectively.
