'Anvay Aarambh' orientation program was organized for the new students of Gargi Sadan Girls Hostel of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). The orientation program was organized under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh by Chief Warden Mrs. Renu with the help of Warden Dr. Neha Shukla, students and other staff. Registrar Prof. Narendra Singh Rana, DSW Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Proctor Prof. Pranav Kumar, Nodal Officer of Anti-Ragging Dr. Javed Ahsan etc. were present as chief guests in the program organized in Vivekananda Lecture Complex under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor.



In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh said that the importance of girls has been equal in our society and without them the society cannot develop in a better way. My wish and thinking is that by studying here, our girls should earn a name in the country and the world. The more they go ahead, the more the glory of this university will increase. The Vice Chancellor said that the university administration is constantly working for the convenience of the girl students and is ready to provide better facilities in future as well. Emphasizing on cooperation and mutual coordination among the girl students, he said that many things get solved automatically by living with a team spirit.

Earlier the program organized for the new girl students started with lighting of lamps and Kulgeet. Thereafter, Chief Warden of Gargi Sadan Girls Hostel, Mrs. Renu, while welcoming all the guests, mentioned the residential facilities available for the girl students in the university and the hostel and also presented the outline of the upcoming action plan.

On this occasion, Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra explained in detail the facilities provided to the girl students. Proctor Prof. Pranav Kumar stressed on safety and discipline within the university campus. Dr. Javed Ahsan, Nodal Officer of Anti Ragging, while creating awareness about ragging, said that this campus is free from ragging. We all can stay away from ragging by being alert and aware of it. The mentoring system and the counselling process available for it were also explained in detail.



On this occasion, Hostel Coordinator Prof. Kiran Kumari, Deputy Registrar Pratish Das, Head of Anti Ragging Squad Prof. Ratikant Kumbhakar, Head of Media Department Prof. Shiv Shankar, Head of Psychology Department Prof. Vijay Mishra, Head of Agricultural Science Prof. Ramashish Yadav, Deputy Chief Proctor Prof. Manglesh Mangalam, Assistant Proctor Dr. Abodh Kumar, Dr. Sujit Kumar, Dr. Bibash Mohapatra, Dr. Rachna Vishwakarma, Dr. Moni Roy, Dr. Poonam Kumari, Dr. Vikal Singh, Warden of Boys Hostel Dr. Manjit Singh, Dr. Kishore Kumar were present.

The program was organized by Warden of Gargi House Dr. Neha Shukla along with Vedika, Tanu Deepanjali, Geetanjali, Simran, Suruchi, Sakshi, Fauzia, Shravya, Hema Khanni as volunteers. The program was conducted by student Aastha Bharti and the vote of thanks was given by Warden Dr. Pratishtha Sonkar.
