About ICCR
The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) is India's first autonomous organization having been established in 1950. The major purpose of ICCR is to actively participate in the development and implementation of policies and initiatives concerning India's international cultural relations. ICCR is fully devoted and dedicated for foreign students. ICCR helps to
- To foster and improve cultural links and mutual understanding between India and other countries;
- To encourage cultural exchanges with other countries and people;
- To establish relations with nations.
The ICCR's major vision and mission is to preserve the threads of India's rich artistic and cultural legacy. Also, ICCR mission is to turn India's vast and widely dispersed cultural canvass into an objective cultural mapping in order to design a mechanism to meet the hopes of the entire nation's artists in order to preserve the country's rich cultural heritage for future generations and to create a strong cultural vibrancy throughout the country.
