The Department of Sociological Studies (DSS) aims at teaching and research for advancement of theoretical and applied understanding of society for human welfare. The Department seeks to explore various issues and problems related to the socio-cultural understanding in the context of national development. The Department disseminates qualitative and standardized education and trains students in both qualitative and quantitative aspects enabling them to contribute quality sociological knowledge. The Department encourages students to engage in serious academic discourse leading to understanding of society through active participation in and outside classroom.
