CUSB NSS Unit Organizes Awareness Drive under Road Safety Month

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organized a Road Safety Awareness Drive in the University Campus under Road Safety Month. The programme, organised under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof Kameshwar Nath Singh, was aimed at spreading awareness about traffic rules and promoting responsible road behaviour among the public. The awareness drive started from Milkha Singh Sports Complex through a rally in which NSS volunteers participated carrying banners and raising slogans for road safety. The rally concluded at the main gate of the University where Programme Officers Dr Anil Kumar and Dr Parijata Pradhan addressed the NSS volunteers and informed them about traffic rules. Addressing the participants, Prof Budhendra Singh, Faculty Coordinator, NSS, highlighted the commitment of NSS volunteers towards social concerns and said, “Our volunteers always actively participate in awareness campaigns to promote safety and well-being in the society.” Dr. Rinki, Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Anindya Dev, Dr. Haresh Narayan Pandey and many students of the university participated in the program.

As a part of the event, a human chain was formed on NH-120 in front of the university, symbolizing unity in the mission to increase road safety awareness. The volunteers motivated the commuters to follow traffic rules like wearing helmets, using seat belts, not using mobile phones while driving. After the awareness activities, all the program officers and NSS volunteers took an oath to maintain and promote road safety practices in their daily lives.
