Record 17 students from Sociological Studies Department of CUSB cracked UGC NET - JRF December 2024 Exam
Students of various departments of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have got widespread success in the result of UGC NET - JRF December 2024 examination released by NTA (National Examination Agency) last week. CUSB Vice Chancellor Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh congratulated the students on their success and appreciated the able guidance of the professors of various schools and departments. Registrar Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana along with Deans of various schools, Heads of Departments and Professors have congratulated and wished them.
Research scholar Amrit Raj from the Department of Historical Studies and Archaeology has created a new record by passing the UGC NET December 2024 exam. He is the first student from CUSB who have passed the UGC NET exam in four subjects in last five years. He has passed UGC-JRF (June 2019) in History, UGC NET (June 2020) in Indian Culture, UGC NET (December 2022) in Jain, Buddhist, Gandhian and Peace Studies, and UGC NET (December 2024) in Comparative Study of Religion. Amrit Raj is currently working as a Senior Research Scholar in the Department of Historical Studies and Archaeology, Central University of South Bihar, under the guidance of Dr. Anil Kumar (Assistant Professor) on the topic "Karpoori Thakur: Socio-economic empowerment in Bihar (1952-88)".
11 (eleven) students from the Department of Political Studies passed the UGC - NET December 2024 examination in three categories. Three students of the Department of Political Studies - Nishant Kumar, Shivam Kumar and Varsha Bhardwaj respectively - have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Five students - Anjali Kumari, Ankesh Kumar, Kumari Shubhangi, Saumya Tomar and Saima Javed have qualified for UGC-NET (Admission to Assistant Professor and PhD). Apart from this, three students - Nitish Kumar, Roshan Kumar and Rupali Mishra have qualified only for admission in PhD. Dean of School of Social Sciences and Policy Prof. Pranav Kumar (Head of Department of Political Studies) along with other professors of the department Prof. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Abhay Kumar, Dr. Anju Helen Bara, Dr. Sumit Kumar Pathak and Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh have congratulated and wished the successful students.
On the other hand, Shivam Kumar, a student of Indian Languages Department has qualified for admission in PhD. A record 17 students of Sociological Studies Department have qualified for UGC-NET. Students who have qualified for UGC-JRF include Anshumali Kumar Mishra and Cyprian Minj. Abhishek Kumar Verma, Deepali Kumari, Shivam Kumar, Vedika Nandan, Sakshi Priya and Avinash Kumar, Trisha Arya, Samridhi Jha and Deepanjali have qualified for UGC-NET (Assistant Professor and PhD). The students who qualified for PhD admission are Manisha, Avinash, Alia Arfin, Krishna Bora and Prerana Gautam respectively. Faculty members of the department, Prof. M. Vijay Kumar Sharma (Head of the Department), Prof. Anil Kumar Singh Jha, Dr. Sanat Kumar Sharma, Dr. Samapika Mohapatra, Dr. Jitendra Ram, Dr. Haresh Narayan Pandey, Dr. Parijat Pradhan, Dr. Priya Ranjan, Dr. Aditya Mohanty, Dr. Md. Ahmadul Kabir AP have congratulated the students for this achievement.
