Guest Lecture on India's National Security Strategy : Current Challenges and Future Directions by Dr. Mahendra Kumar Singh, May 06, 2025
The Political Science Department of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organized a dialogue program on "India's National Security Strategy: Current Challenges and Future Directions". Dr. Mahendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University was present as the keynote speaker in the program organized under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh. The discussion started with the welcome speech and introductory remarks of Prof. Pranav Kumar, Dean of Social Sciences. Prof. Pranav Kumar welcomed and honored the chief guest and highlighted the relevance of the topic. He said that this dialogue on the strategic balances that India needs for its independent foreign policy in the current global scenario is very beneficial for the students.
Dr. Mahendra Kumar Singh, a senior columnist, former journalist and expert in political reporting, international relations and media, presented his views on Indian foreign policy, global power balance, emerging multi-polarity and policy challenges to maintain India's strategic autonomy. The lecture was followed by a brief Q&A session in which students and researchers eagerly asked questions. Thereafter, Dr. Abhay Kumar gave the concluding remarks of the programme in which he appreciated the views of Dr. Singh and encouraged the students to study the subject in depth. Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Pranav Kumar, Prof. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Abhay Kumar, Dr. Ahmed Abir and Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, among many other dignitaries were present in this programme. Among the students, Akanksha, Sonu, Ayush, Naushad, Shahnaz, Amrita, Ankesh played an important role in making this event a success.
