CUSB Assistant Professor Dr. Sunil Kumar conferred with the Fellow position at IIAS, Shimla
Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor at Department of English and Foreign Languages of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has been conferred with the esteemed Fellow position at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS), Shimla. This prestigious award underscores Dr. Kumar’s dedication to academic excellence reinforces the university’s reputation as a hub for innovative research. During his tenure as a Fellow, Dr. Kumar will undertake the research project “Eco-Pathologies of the Indo-Gangetic Plain: Literary and Cinematic Representations” from June 2025 to June 2027. This interdisciplinary project promises to yield significant insights into the environmental humanities, shedding light on the complex relationships between literature, cinema, and ecological degradation. CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh congratulated Dr. Kumar, emphasising the importance of producing impactful research that not only advances knowledge in environmental humanities but also benefits society at large.
