BSRTC starts Women's Bus Service from Gayaji to CUSB campus, Vice Chancellor Prof. K. N. Singh flagged off the Pink Bus
For smooth and safe transportation of girl students of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) from Gayaji city to the University campus, Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) of Government of Bihar has taken a special initiative and started the pink bus facility. On Friday (May 30, 2025), Vice Chancellor Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh formally inaugurated the CUSB Campus - Gayaji Women's Bus Service by flagging off its from the Administrative Building. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Gaya District Transport Officer (DTO) Mr. Rajesh Kumar, BSRTC Regional Manager Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, CUSB Registrar Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana, Deputy Registrar Mr. Pratish Kumar Das, Assistant Registrar Mr. Shashi Ranjan, PRO Mohammad Mudassir Alam, Security Officer Mr. Sunil Pratap, Proctorial Board members and other professors, officers, employees and girl students.
Vice Chancellor Prof. K. N. Singh in his address expressed gratitude to the Bihar government for providing a special bus facility for the girl students university. He said that the pink bus service operated by the government's BSRTC company will provide relief to the girl students of the university from the daily rush. The girl students of CUSB will feel safe as well as comfortable in this bus, for which I thank the Bihar government on behalf of the entire university family. Sharing the features of the pink bus, Public Relation Officer (PRO) Mohammad Mudassir Alam said that the eco-friendly bus operated on CNG has comfortable seats, GPS tracking, panic button, CCTV camera, first aid box etc. Mobile charging point is also installed on every seat. The girl students present at the inauguration ceremony expressed happiness on the start of the bus facility and appreciated the active efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof. K.N. Singh and the university administration. The girl students unanimously said that with the facilities available in the bus and getting tickets at concessional rates, their travel will now become easy, which will further improve their daily routine. With this initiative there travel time would be reduced and they can now study with more concentration.
