Media department Research Scholar Alisha Pathak presented her research paper in San Francisco, USA, August 07-08,2025
Alisha Pathak, a Ph.D. student doing research under the supervision of Dr. Anindya Deb, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mass Communication and Media presented their research work in the 108th International Conference organized by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC, 2025). This conference held in San Francisco, USA during August 07-08, 2025 was attended by the experts of mass communication and media from different parts of the world.
The research work studies the emotional suffering in cancer patients and sheds light on how they express their feelings in support groups, strengthening India's efforts to strengthen its digital health infrastructure. People suffering from diseases like cancer are looked at differently in society, so the main objective of the research is to find out how their emotional suffering can be reduced to some extent through the digital health space. The results of this research can help in better understanding the emotional needs of cancer patients and their caregivers and at the same time, the digital health infrastructure can be further strengthened.
