Three-Day National Conference on AI in Sports Science, Healthcare and Ethics, February 21-23, 2026
Day 01 (Inaugration):
The Department of Physical Education, Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), inaugurated a three-day National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence in Sports Science, Healthcare and Ethics.” The conference has brought together 82 experts from across India, with 110 research papers being presented during the event. The academic program will continue till 23rd February. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of Sports, Government of Bihar, Ms. Shreyashi Singh, who formally inaugurated the conference as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was presided over by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of CUSB, Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the soulful recitation of Vande Mataram, creating a dignified and patriotic atmosphere.

Welcome Address
The Welcome Address was delivered by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh. In his address, he warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, academicians, researchers, and participants from different parts of the country. He emphasized that Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept but a present-day necessity that is transforming sports performance analysis, athlete health monitoring, and academic research methodologies.
He highlighted that universities must adopt emerging technologies responsibly and ethically, ensuring that innovation aligns with human values and national development goals. He also appreciated the Department of Physical Education for organizing a nationally relevant conference on such a contemporary theme.
A significant moment of the ceremony was the release of the Conference Souvenir, marking the official academic documentation of the event.
The Guest of Honor, Prof. Sushma Ghildiyal, Dean, Faculty of Arts, BHU Varanasi, highlighted the interdisciplinary relevance of AI in education, humanities, and sports sciences. She stressed the importance of ethical awareness while integrating AI into research and pedagogy.
Presidential Address

In his Presidential Address, Prof. Singh elaborated on the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence in higher education and research. He stated that AI-driven analytics are redefining sports science through data-based performance evaluation, injury prediction, and evidence-based training models.
He emphasized that while AI enhances efficiency and precision, it is essential to maintain ethical safeguards to protect athletes’ data privacy and dignity. He encouraged researchers to focus on indigenous research models that cater to Indian sports ecosystems and contribute to national sports excellence.
Chief Guest Address
Ms. Shreyashi Singh

In her inspiring address, Ms. Shreyashi Singh appreciated CUSB for organizing a conference on such a futuristic and impactful theme. She emphasized that Bihar is actively promoting sports development and that AI-based technologies can significantly improve talent identification, performance tracking, and injury management systems.
She stated that modern sports governance must integrate scientific research, digital innovation, and ethical responsibility to prepare athletes for international excellence. She encouraged young researchers and students to use Artificial Intelligence as a tool for nation-building and sports advancement.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Rajeev Choudhary, Dean, Student Welfare and Head, Department of Physical Education, Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur. His lecture was based on the theme:
“From Databases to Decisions: AI-Enabled Bibliometric and Meta-Analysis in Sports and Health Sciences.”
In his insightful presentation, Prof. Choudhary explained how Artificial Intelligence enables researchers to move from large research databases to meaningful academic and policy decisions. He emphasized that AI-based bibliometric analysis helps in identifying research trends, influential authors, journals, and institutions in sports and health sciences. He further elaborated on how AI tools enhance meta-analysis by accurately combining results from multiple studies, thereby reducing human bias and improving the overall quality and reliability of research findings.

Day 02:
The second day of the three-day National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence in Sports Science, Healthcare and Ethics” at the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) was marked by vibrant academic discussions, research presentations, and insightful invited talks.
Following the grand inauguration yesterday by the Hon’ble Sports and IT Minister of Bihar, Ms. Shreyashi Singh, the conference entered its second day with focused technical sessions and scholarly engagement.
A total of 16 research papers were presented during the technical sessions, along with innovative poster presentations, showcasing contemporary research in AI-driven sports science and healthcare domains.

Day 03:
The three-day National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence in Sports Science, Healthcare and Ethics (NCS2HCE)”, organized by the Department of Physical Education, Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), concluded today with a grand Valedictory Session on 23rd February 2026.
The conference, sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians, researchers, and experts from across the country. The valedictory session marked the successful culmination of three days of intense academic deliberations, research presentations, and insightful discussions on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in sports science, healthcare innovation, and ethical governance.
The session commenced with the arrival of distinguished guests and dignitaries, followed by the felicitation ceremony.
Welcome Address:
Professor Ashish Kumar Singh, Convenor of the Conference (NCS2HCE), formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, dignitaries, faculty members, research scholars, and participants. He highlighted the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing AI-driven solutions in sports and healthcare sectors.
Conference Report:
Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Organizing Secretary (NCS2HCE), presented a comprehensive report of the three-day conference. He summarized the key highlights including the inauguration by Hon’ble Sports and IT Minister of Bihar, Ms. Shreyashi Singh, multiple technical sessions, invited talks, research paper presentations, and poster sessions.
